We have two office locations, at either office you can reserve a field or facility, purchase beach stickers, reserve hunting locations, sign up for our classes and events, and ask our staff anything you like regarding Riverhead's parks and recreation offerings. We hire seasonal employees in the form of Park Attendants, Beach Attendants, Life Guards, and Camp Counselors. We also hire individuals who are interested in offering to teach a recreational course through our department. You can request to memorialize a passed Riverhead loved one. Memorials have previously been bestowed in a variety of ways please fill out the application found online here or you may fill out a printable version here and bring it to either of our locations to complete your request.
We are always looking for local businesses and community groups to advertise in our seasonal brochure. It's a great way to have your group or business name seen by our residents. Refunds are generally decided on a case-by-case basis. If you need to forgo participation in one of our general programs we can likely offer you credit towards another program in the future. As for rentals like field, facility, or equipment, you would have to speak directly with the person handling your rental as to what your options are.
Please have your drivers license, vehicle registration, and proof of residency with you and available at the time of purchase.
Daily parking permits are available for those wishing to only visit for the day.
A beach sticker or a daily permit is required at Corwell Ave WFA, Edwards Ave WFA, Hulse Landing WFA, Iron Pier Beach, Iron Pier Boat Launch, Meeting House Creek WFA, Miamogue WFA, Reeves Beach, Roanoke Ave WFA, South Jamesport Beach, South Jamesport Boat Launch, Wading River Beach, Wading River Boat Launch, Washington Ave WFA.
Veterans, Fire Department, AMB, and EMP are entitled to one free beach sticker with proper identification.
Beach stickers are valid per calendar year. (January 1st to December 31st)
Currently with COVID-19 restrictions ONLY Riverhead town residents are able to purchase stickers.
East Creek Docking Facility
East Creek Docking Facility is located at 1207 Peconic Bay Boulevard Riverhead, N.Y. 11901
Our waiting list is full and has a five to eight-year wait presently. If you wish to discuss your options you may call Doris Strange at (631) 727-3200 ext. 205 or fill out our waitlist application here.
Each vessel docked here will be charged $85 per foot. Additional, costs associated with renting a slip at our facility include a processing fee of $200 and a $375 fee per electricity line.
Vessels can be docked from April 15th through November 15th.

Beach, Docking, and Ramp rules
Each of our locations has signs designating what is or is not allowed at that facility. Those who partake in enjoying these shared spaces are expected to follow the rules of these signs and/or the requests of the staff on duty that day. If further clarification is needed you are invited to speak with a beach/park attendant or call our parks office at (631) 727-5744 ext. 737
As a general rule of thumb, we ask that you respect fellow beachgoers and the environment by making use of our trash bins and cleaning up after yourself. Follow the "leave no trace" principle.

Please be advised that if you wish to use a credit card you will be charged a 2.75% service fee or a $1.75 minimum fee per purchase.
