The Town of Riverhead offers several major or flagship parks and other minor parks and picnic areas for all to enjoy and share. Below you'll find a list of our major parks and picnic areas. Parks and picnic areas are open from dawn to dusk unless otherwise noted in their individual listing below. We appreciate all visitors to our parks being respectful to others and helping to keep our parks clean. If you're looking for beaches, boat launches, or docking facilities you can find them here.

Flagship Parks
Stotzky Memorial Park Located off of Columbus Ave, Riverhead N.Y. A Riverhead staple with picnic areas, two large soccer fields, baseball & softball fields, a dog park, and coming this spring newly updated tennis courts!
Veteran's Memorial Park Riverhead's newest flagship park! 62 beautiful acres of park areas that are still improving daily. Issac dog park, bocce ball court, EPCAL bike path, and new pickleball courts are just some of the highlights. Located in Calverton spacious with lots to do!
Police Officers Memorial Park Formerly known as Bayberry Park in Wading River. Our third flagship park has all the wonderful amenities for a lovely day out. Multi-purpose fields, tennis & basketball courts, a full playground, and a grill and picnic area.

Wading River Duck Ponds A few park benches surround this pond area where you can watch the resident ducks float serenely by.
Horton Avenue Park Located between Osborne and Horton avenues near the traffic circle you'll find this charming neighborhood park. Perfect for a friendly basketball game with some grilling afterward or just enjoying an afternoon on the playground.
Milton Burns Park Formerly known as Grangebel Park, located in historic downtown Riverhead behind the bank building. This riverside park hosts an outdoor art gallery with statues from local artists, as well as, park benches for anyone to pause and watch the river flow by.
Nadel Drive Park Quaint neighborhood park perfect for playing on the playground and greeting neighbors.
Two Bears Park Located across the street from 160 old farm road in Riverhead. Two Bears is a nice place to exercise as it has a running/walking path, basketball courts, and tennis courts. There is also a playground to be enjoyed.
Unity Drive Park Enjoy the playground here, grill in the picnic area, or use the basketball half court for some 3-on-3 fun.
Millbrook Gables Park Another charming neighborhood park near Rt. 25 in Riverhead. A basketball court, full playground, grills, and a picnic area make it a great place to start the day.
Miamogue Point Park Located in South Jamesport right by the Miamogue Point waterfront association. A really charming, quiet, park, a great place to spend an afternoon.

Community Garden A downtown gem nestled amongst the businesses of Main Street. This quaint park and community garden back up to the Peconic River. It offers something for everyone.
George Schmeltzer Park Tiny but serene. Stop here to watch the wildlife float by on the Peconic River.
Grumman Memorial Park Small but fun! This park displays two fighter jets an F-14 A Tomcat and an A6E Intruder. Seasonal access to the EPCAL trail that connects to one of our flagship parks Veteran's Memorial Park.
John Lombardi Right in the heart of Riverhead's historic downtown area. You're invited to grab some food from any downtown establishment you like and enjoy in this park at its tables or gazebo.
Meeting House Creek Park Small park where you can have lunch and watch the boats come in and out of the marina.
Weeping Willow Park Ideal for a picnic before you take your kayak or canoe out on the river with our canoe launch.
