A minimum age of 16 years. Perform assigned duties such as preparing and lining ballfields, litter pickup, cleaning restrooms, moving/storing equipment, painting and other related landscaping work. April through November. Includes day/evening shifts, weekends and holidays available. Must have current NYS Driver's license to operate mechanical equipment. Beach Attendant

Lifeguard
A minimum age of 16 years. *15 year old applicants may apply and can work on the stand with a guard of 16+ years of age at all times. Water Safety Instructor

Rec. Specialist
Recreation Specialists are certified instructors teaching one of various recreational programs. Ex) Sports Camp Instructor, Sailing Instructor, Art Teacher, yoga Instructor, etc. Interested applicants must have a certification in the respective area of the program they are looking to teach. Summer Camp Counselor
Summer Camp is run from the George Young Community Center and one of our local schools. Summer Camp typically runs 6-7 weeks, July through August from 7:30am to 4:45pm. Counselors are responsible for the daily welfare of the campers. Counselors are expected to attend camp every day on time, and be prepared to participate in a variety of activities that might be group lead, instructed by the Site-Coordinator, or independently lead. Counselors are expected to supervise their group at all times, engage with campers consistently throughout the day, and provide a safe and fun experience for all participants. Summer Camp is run from the George Young Community Center and one of our local schools. Summer Camp typically runs 6-7 weeks, July through August from 7:30am to 4:45pm. The Site-Coordinator (SC) is the manager for each camp site, this includes: planning the on-site summer activity calendar (pre-season activity), overseeing daily activities at camp, managing and motivating staff, completing necessary paperwork, and ensuring that all needs are communicated to the Supervisor. The SC remains on-site for the duration of the summer to coordinate trips and activities, maintain a safe environment for children and staff, communicate with parents daily, and ensure that all plans are implemented. The SC acts as the central hub of communication between the camp site, the Assistant Supervisor, and the Supervisor. SC’s monitor staff, facility safety, and children daily; communication with the Supervisor is critical. Summer Camp Trip Leader
Summer Camp is run from the George Young Community Center and one of our local schools. Summer Camp typically runs 6-7 weeks, July through August from 7:30am to 4:45pm. Trip Leaders typically act as Counselors. On trip days, Trip Leaders act as the point person, managing campers and staff while off-site, communicating all needs to the Site-Coordinator. Trip Leaders may also be assigned additional responsibilities on-site such as leading specialty activities, breaking staff during lunchtimes, and maintaining supplies. |
